The year of *Totem and Taboo*, released in the UK by Cadiz Music on 10 September after being recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago and engineered and mixed by Steve Albini. It opened with an eight-date solo-acoustic UK tour offering six PledgeMusic VIP places per show, followed by a North American run, a European tour in spring and a full UK autumn tour around the album's release. The autumn concerts presented *Totem and Taboo* in the first set and *No More Heroes* in full—with keyboards added to the lineup—in the second.
