The year of *New Songs for King Kong*, issued as a double-CD digipack and deluxe double vinyl after being recorded during the November 2009 Hooverdam/Rattus tour. The early North American run featured Caroline Campbell on bass and Chris Bell on drums in support of *Hooverdam*, produced by Liam Watson. Sets mixed the album with Stranglers material including No More Heroes, Peaches, (Get A) Grip (On Yourself), Walk On By, Duchess, Nice 'n' Sleazy, Always the Sun and Golden Brown. The May Hooverdam/Rattus shows paired material from the two albums. A widely-scattered schedule: US Midwest, UK, Brazil, US West Coast, US East Coast, then a European December run.
